Rescue Village is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of volunteer, Sue Pohle, on May 10th, 2024.

Sue was a volunteer for the Welcome Desk, for Woofstock, and for other outreach programs at Rescue Village. She loved to spend quality time with her family and her three dogs, travel to her favorite beaches, and make blankets for the rescued cats at Rescue Village. Sue was not only an animal-lover, but a people-lover as well. She was always very friendly and helpful — willing to take extra shifts at the Welcome Desk or work on special projects when the desk was slow. Her laugh, her smile and her friendship will be sorely missed. RV will always keep her in our hearts.

In Sue’s memory, the Pohles ask that everyone tell the people near and dear to them how much they are loved. They are planning a celebration of life for her at a later date this summer.
