Valentine Slumber Party to Help Homeless Animals
Rescue Village hosts unique and memorable experience for animal lovers.
On Saturday, February 10, 2024, Rescue Village is hosting a Valentine Slumber Party to benefit the animals. For 12 hours, participants will spend the night in a kennel or room with a shelter dog or cat at Rescue Village with the goal of raising $1,000 each to benefit the animals.
27 kids and adults will enjoy dinner donated by Zeppe’s of Newbury and an evening of fun activities with their assigned party animal. Attendees will be decorating their space and making toys, treats and blankets for the animals as they learn more about what goes on at Rescue Village through a guided tour and a Q&A with staff.
Executive Director, Kenneth Clarke, shared the importance of this unique and interactive event. “We are trying to raise money to support the animals, but also to raise awareness. Inviting people to spend a night at the shelter is an important educational tool that really helps teach people what shelter life is like for the animals.”

Rescue Village hopes to raise $20,000 through the Slumber Party fundraising efforts, which will go towards saving more lives and helping abused, neglected and homeless animals in need.
